Dr. Bruckner received his Ph.D. in Visual Studies from UC Irvine in 2007. His research and teaching apply historical and critical-theoretical methods to the study of cinema and visual culture, with special interests in invention stories, temporality studies, time travel and sound studies. His work has appeared in publications such as Cinema Journal and Discourse.
